Macau
Here in Macau, luxury is a game, on which smoking means someone is rich, when staying all night gambling is normal. It's like in Macau, the poor are forced to live rich.
Anyway, I stayed in this vibrant city for 9 days because of work. This "Gambling Capital of Asia" had been a Portuguese colony before. Ironic it may seem that most of their signages is in Portuguese (like their ubiquitous exit signs that read "Saida.") but no one speaks it; I never heard anyone speak Portuguese. Maybe they do that for tourism purposes or for the preservation of their history which is really unique. Too bad I had little time to roam around... Anyway, they really got very good architecture. It's oddly similar to Intramuros but with a different twist that's hard to explain.
I tried to look for beggars in this lavish city and found three. Will post the photos later. hehe...
